April 3, 2010 The Egg Hunt
Today was our church’s Egg Hunt at OBU. Let me just say, they know how to host an Egg Hunt. There were 30,000 eggs for the kids to collect. As we approached the grassy area where the eggs were laid out, J. said, “I thought this was an egg hunt. The eggs are laying out everywhere. You don’t have to hunt them.”
After the Egg Hunt, our church had prizes to hand out as well (as if the load of candy wasn’t enough.) I forgot to mention, all the eggs were filled with chocolate. Yummy, delicious chocolate. Josiah also had the giant prize egg. Inside was a reminder of the reason to celebrate Easter. It’s not the candy, toys, new clothes, or even the eggs. What was inside the giant egg? Nothing, it was empty. Similar to the tomb that first Resurrection morning.
From our family to yours, Happy Resurrection Day.
