November 12, 2011 30 Days of Thanks:: Day 12
Today I am thankful for Saturdays.
I don’t have a picture for Saturday, because every Saturday looks different for us. One thing that is always true of Saturday is that it is a day to rest.
The kids, now that school is in session, love to be at home. Even though the Boy is home all day during the week with me, he loves to spend the day with his sisters. They have played from early this morning, until just a few minutes ago when I tucked them in.
Our restful Saturdays are sometimes spent working around the house. But not doing normal daily chores. (Sometimes we do extra yard work, or clean out the garage, or like today, I painted.) It is so relaxing! (Crazy, I know.)
Other weekend we go out as a family.
No matter what the agenda is, we love to spend it together.
Today I thankful for Saturdays.
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
